The role of the Team Parent includes:
- Using the Game Changer app to assist with team communications and score keeping.
- Helping coordinate team activities such as picture day and Mariners Day.
- Assisting the coach with dugout behavior and ensuring that players are not wandering off.
- Assisting in safe and supervised restroom use.
- Helping to oversee that players are only released to their parent or guardian.
- Encouraging coaches, players, and parents to uphold the Parent Code of Conduct and Little League Rules.
- Identifying and reporting potential safety concerns to the Safety Officer.
- Upon request of the coach, a Team Parent may help out on the field during practices, NOT DURING GAMES, as long as a qualified coach is present. (This is a privilege requested by the coach, NOT a right, and may be revoked.)
- Team Parents are NOT assistant coaches!
Please make an effort to be present at all practices and games as much as possible.
To qualify for consideration as a Team Parent, you are required to upload the following items during registration:
- Valid Driver's License
- Photo for ID Badge (clear photo showing only YOUR face & shoulders, no sunglasses)
- Protecting Students from Abuse Certificate (valid for 1 year from date of completion)

As a Team Parent, you will receive a Photo ID badge that must be worn and visible whenever you are volunteering for SCLL. ID badges will be printed and distributed as soon as possible.
Upon completion of registration, you will receive a background check from JDP at your registered email address.
Complete your background check within 2 weeks or the link will expire.
