Recommended: With the continued concerns of COVID-19 it is also recommended (but not required) that your player have his/her own batting helmet. They can be found for as low as $20 and up. The league will provide bats for each team, however players often prefer using their own bats. If you choose to buy a bat, they must be “USA Baseball” certified for league play (most at stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods are allowed).

Practices:

Practices for Minors, Majors and Intermediate typically begin in early March.

Practices for T-Ball and Rookies typically begin in early April.

Proof of Age

Little League rules require all players to provide proof of age to ensure placement in the right program. Proof of age can be made by:

Provide an original, or certified copy of a Birth Certificate to SCLL, during an in-person registration event, or by mailing it to PO Box 455, Stanwood, WA 98292.

All Stars:

Every player participating in All Stars must provide the league an original of the player's birth certificate (Copies are NOT acceptable!). If your player does not have an original birth certificate and hopes to participate in All Stars we recommend that you obtain one now.

Little League International has an option called the Statement in Lieu of Acceptable Proof of Birth. This is great for parents that are not comfortable with the birth certificate being in the hands of SCLL officials until the conclusion of the All Star season. This option still requires the original birth certificate, but once it is verified by District 1 prior to the start of the tournament it will be returned to you. Another option is to provide proof of residence (during a specific time frame which is not necessarily very recent) with copies of a utility bill, voter's registration, driver's license, county taxes, etc.

League Boundaries:

Please make sure your player lives within the boundaries of Stanwood Camano Little League. Boundaries are based on your home address, not the school your child attends. If you live within another Little League boundary, please register directly with that league.

If you have any questions, please check the SCLL Boundary Map, or e-mail via the Contact Us link to verify the correct league for your player.

You may pay your registration fees by credit or debit card. We also offer a payment plan which is only available while registering online.

NOTE: Your player will not be placed on a team until payment is received. SCLL reserves the right to cancel any registration if payment is not paid in full or scheduled in a payment plan.
